Upper Shivalaya Temple is a Vaishnava temple situated on top of a hill in
Badami,
Bagalkot District. It was erected during the early 7th century and is believed to be the first structural temple built during the
Chalukya age. The temple displays carvings of
Krishna's pastimes, and other related scenes.
Badami, capital of the early Chalukyas, is 30 Km away from Bagalkot(150 km) respectively.
