Nrityagram Dance Village is located at
Hessarghatta, about 30 km from
Bangalore. Founded by Protima Gaur, a great Odissi dancer, this institute attracts students from all over the world. Students are trained in various Indian dance forms like
Bharatanatyam, Odissi and
Kuchipudi The traditional gurukula system of education is followed.
Main attraction is the Vasantha Habba, festival of spring, conducted in the first week of February. Nrityagram has been attracting large number of visitors, choreographers and researchers from abroad.
