Kukkarahalli Lake lies in the vicinity of the
University of Mysore.
Built in 1864, this lake sprawls over 120 acres. A paradise for bird watchers, the lake supports more than 180 species of birds including the aquatic kind. It is also a fine spot for water sport. Boating facilities are available.
