Kundadri

Located on Thirthahalli-Mastikhatte Road, about 12 km from Thirthahalli in Shimoga District, Kundadri is a gigantic monolithic rock formation with numerous outgrowths. Surrounded by dense evergreen forests, it is a great place for trekking and wildlife adventures. From the top one can see the Parshwanath Chaityalaya, a rough stone structure, and the Thirthahalli-Agumbe road meandering in serpentine curves down below. A Jain temple is located on top of the hill, with a rough stone-paved path leading up to it.

Accommodation facilities are not available here. However, camping in the Kundadri on a full moon night can be an exhilarating experience.
