Sri Padmavathi Temple is situated at Karkala in Udupi District, about 53 km from Mangalore. It was erected in 1888 by Varadendra Theertha Swamiji. The temple is associated with Sri Venkataramana Temple. Nearby are some of the old temples which include Chaturmukha Basadi, Neminatha Basadi at Hiriangadi and Anantapadmanabha Temple. The nearest railway station and airport are at Mangalore.
