Huchchimalligudi Temple is one among the
Chalukyan group of temples, believed to have been built during the 5th and 8th century. This beautiful temple is located on the outskirts of
Aihole in
Bagalkot District,
Karnataka.
It has a rectangular structure consisting of a square sanctum with a curvilinear shikhara roof. The temple also encloses a covered processional passage, a vestibule (situated between the sanctum and the mandapam), a pillared hall and a porch. The parapet of the porch is painted in vase pattern.
Aihole is 46 km from Badami and 19 km from Pattadakkal.
