Tungabhadra Dam

Tungabhadra Dam is situated 15 km from Hospet in Bellary District of Karnataka. It is constructed across the Tungabhadra River, a chief tributary of the Krishna River. This enormous dam is 590 m in length and 49 m in height.

The Japanese garden, at the base of the dam, is an ideal place for tourists to rest and relax. Close to the dam is the Hotel Mayura Vijayanagar.

Hospet Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead. From Hospet, the dam can be reached by bus or taxi.
