Nuggehalli is a small hamlet located 18 km north-east of
Channarayapatna in
Hassan District. This village is believed to have been under the reign of the
Chola Dynasty during ancient period.
Lakshminarayana Temple, built by Bommanna Dandanayaka, is located here. With square granite pillars, this temple dating back to 1700 AD draws a large number of devotees. Jayagondeshwara Temple is another attraction here. The historic Shravanabelegola is at 30 km from Nuggehalli.
