Haranahalli is a small town nearly 10 km south of Arsikere on the main road leading towards
Hassan. It is also called as Haruvanahalli and Hiriyasomanathapura. The town is noted for the remains of an old fort and the 13th century Hoysala temples of Chennakeshava and Someshwara, which are good specimens of Hoysala architecture.
