Bindiganavile

Bindiganavile is located in the northern part of Mandya District in Karnataka. It is 8 km south of Hirisave, which is on National Highway 48.

Bindiganavile is mentioned as Mayurapuri in the Puranas. Lord Brahma and his consort Saraswathi worshipped Lord Keshava (Krishna) here. The place holds an ancient temple named Sri Keshava Perumal Koil.

Sravanabelagola, a popular Jain pilgrim center, is about 8 km west. Nagamangala and Yediyur are nearby tourist destinations.
