Brahminy Kite (Haliastur indus) is a bird which prefers wet areas. Its head is white, body chestnut coloured with dark wing tips. The bird lives throughout tropical Asia east from India to South China.
Brahminy Kite is quite a cosmopolitan feeder. It feeds on frogs, small snakes, crabs, insects and fish.
Their nest is compact and made of twigs and sticks, generally 60-90 cm wide and 15-30 cm deep. It is lined with dried mud.
