A small town, Pathraul is in
Deoghar District of
Jharkhand. It is situated very close to
Madhupur and is easily accessible from there. Major tourist attractions around Pathraul are
Tilpara Barrage,
Maluti,
Basukinath Temple, Chandrakoopa Well, Harila Joria, Sivaganga Lake and Deoghar Archeological Museum. Vikrat Kali Mandir at Pathraul is a major attraction, now being developed as a tourist destination.
The Pathra river flows nearby. Some of the surrounding places are Banbariya, Ghagharjor, Banskupi, Rampur, Tharhi and Manikpur.
Madhupur Junction Railway Station, one of the prominent stations of the Eastern Railways, serves this area. The nearest airport is at Ranchi.
