Chorkata

A small town, Chorkata is around 15 km west of Dumka in Dumka District, Jharkhand. Giridih and Dhanbad are within 80 km from here. Jarmundi, a town noted for the Basukinath Temple, is 15 km to the north. Jamtara Railway Station, situated on the Dhanbad–Deoghar line, serves Chorkata. The nearest airports are Gaya Airport and Patna Airport. The place is linked with Dumka by road.
