Basukinath Temple is located in
Dumka District of
Jharkhand. It lies on the Dumka - Deoghar Road and is near
Jarmundi. It is dedicated to
Lord Shiva, and has some unique local architecture. The temple’s history is associated with Ghatwals of Nonihat.
There are several small temples within the complex. The pilgrimage to Deoghar is considered incomplete without paying homage at Basukinath.
The temple is about 42 km from Deoghar.
