Garhwa is a historic place situated about 50 km from
Allahabad. There are some ruins of temples, which are dedicated to
Lord Shiva and
Lord Vishnu, found inside a wall enclosure. A big tank known as Garhwa Tal is to the west of the ruins of the fort.
Some of the sculptures of Gupta period are shifted to the State Museum in Lucknow.
