Amharkhas is situated in
Garhwa District of
Jharkhand, near the state highway connecting Nagar Untari and Meral. The town is surrounded by cities and villages such as Ramna, Sangrahe Khurd,
Adar,
Arsali, Jangipur,
Sagma and
Silidag.
