Perched at a remarkable altitude of about 14,986 ft above sea level, Takh is a small village in the southern part of
Leh District,
Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 24 km north of Sir Bhum Chun and is to the south of
Leh.
Takh is bounded by Mone Leh in the north, Chutak in the east and Kyonon in the southern part. Noted for its serene ambiance, Takh is a perfect location for trekkers. The Tsarap Lingti flows southwards through this village.
Takh can be reached from Pongunagu and Mone Leh. From Sutak, a trek towards Tantak leads to Takh.
