Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes) has long silky fur and superb bush continuing to the upper half of the ear, and the white tie to the tail.
Red fox hunt by itself and lives usually around the edge of forests. It hunts during night and occasionally ventures out during the day. Diet includes whatever it can find or catch.
Usually, the vixen gives birth to three to eight pups. They are all born blind, and it takes three to seven days for their eyes to open.
It can be spotted in the Hirapora Wildlife Sanctuary, Jammu and Kashmir.
