Reru lies at an altitude of 13,169 ft above sea level in between the snow-clad mountains of
Leh District. It is about ten kilometers from Shila. The
Zanskar River meanders through this village.
Reru is flanked by Danga on its west and Dorzong on the east. The northern and southern parts are bordered by Burdan and Khanjar respectively. The region also offers chances of short treks and hikes to upland villages. Burdan Monastery is within a short distance from here.
Reru can be approached from Purni, Padum and Zangla.
