Rattan Pir, located at an altitude of about 2499 m, is in
Rajouri District of
Jammu and Kashmir. The pass is located south-west of the
Pir Panjal range. The Pir Panjal or Panjal Pass is a nearby pass in this region. The fort of Baramgali is situated between the two passes. There is a road leading through the hills to the pass from
Poonch town.
