Pensi Pass




Pensi Pass (Pensi La) is perched at an altitude of 4,450 m above sea level, situated south of the Rangdum valley, in Jammu and Kashmir.

It is a picturesque pass adorned with two small alpine lakes and is the western gateway to the Zanskar Range. The pass takes one straight to Padum in Zanskar. The Zanskar River, originating from the confluence of Tsarap and Stod rivers, flows down from this pass.

Pensi La Pass is open from July to October.
