Nurla is a small settlement in the northern region of
Ladakh in
Leh District,
Jammu and Kashmir. It is at an altitude of about 9,980 ft above sea level and is around 21 km from
Drogulika. Nurla is about 18 km from Narmu in the west and
Saspul in the east. The northern and southern parts are bordered by
Narkial and
Phanjila respectively.
The Suru River, which rises from the Panzella glacier, meets with the Indus River at Nurla.
A motorable road links Tingsmogang with Nurla. One can easily access Nurla as it is on the Leh – Kargil route.
