Naerung is a small village in Kargil District of Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 14,281 ft above sea level and is about 232 km from the state capital, Srinagar. Photaksar and Rulagung are 18 km towards the north and south. Short excursions can be taken to Zangla Monastery, which is within 25 km from here. The Zanskar River flows through this place.
Naerung can be easily approached from Zangla, Leh and Linshot, by road.
