Masjid Syed Sahib is at the foot of Martand plateau in
Anantnag District,
Jammu and Kashmir. The mosque is a memorial of Hazrat Syed Sahib. This historic mosque was consecrated by Inayat-ullah Qadiri Samnani along with other disciples in the Hijra year of 936 (1528 AD). The body of the saint was buried in the nearby shrine. Every year, according to Islamic calendar on 8th of Shaban, the death anniversary of the saint Hazrat Syed Sahib is observed.
Situated at the foot of the Anichteep, the mosque can be easily accessed from Martand and Anantnag. The nearest airport is at Srinagar.
