Marsimik La, the highest motorable road in the world, is a mountain pass lying on the
Leh –
Manali road. It is at a height of 5,680 m above sea level in the
Himalayan ranges. This pass in
Ladakh leads one to
Khardung La Pass, the second highest motorable road. A ride to the top of the Marsimik La is an adventurous journey consisting of 22 km long dirt, gravel, mud, boulder, dusty, and sand tracks. Marsimik La is just 700 ft short of the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro.
