Mahabodhi Residential School is located in the lofty western
Himalayas of
Ladakh, in
Jammu and Kashmir. The school aims to provide affordable and quality education. It provides free boarding, clothing, medical care and transportation.
The traditional Ladakhi culture, dance, songs and craft classes are included in the curriculum. Computer education is also offered. It also helps the bright and motivated students to pursue higher education. Importance is given to develop the moral, spiritual and human values and to promote interfaith harmony in the future generation of Ladakh through Dharma and Meditation courses.
The school now has a new recreation hall, which provides covered and protected space for indoor activities. It is also used as a lunchroom and an examination hall.
