Leh Mosque




Built in 1594, Leh Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in India. It is a beautiful structure situated in Leh, about 430 km from Srinagar. This green and white colored mosque is built in Turkish-Iranian architecture. This Sunni mosque is situated on a green land believed to have been granted by King Deldan Namgyal. The inner part of the mosque is open only to men.

The Indian Airlines connects Leh to the major cities of India. Jammu Tawi Railway Station is about 380 km from Leh.
