Machil is a charming valley sheltered in the east of
Kupwara District,
Jammu and Kashmir. Dense with lush forest, it is an ideal destination for group picnickers and trekkers. Rest houses are available for accommodation.
The famous river Kishan Ganga separates Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and Jammu and Kashmir in Machil. The valley can be accessed crossing the Nonawani Pass in summer. Batanar Gully connects the valley with Kupwara.
