Jungle Bush-Quail (Perdicula asiatica) is a small bird found in the rocky scrub and forests of India and Sri Lanka. The male bird has a rufous red head with a slight brown mottling on top; its chest is barred with white and black. Black, brown and yellow spots can be seen on its back. The bird’s wings are marked very similar to that of the
grey partridge.
The bird inhabits in dry grasslands. Jungle Bush-Quail can be spotted in Corbett National Park, Uttaranchal.
