Krimchi is a small village in
Udhampur District of
Jammu and Kashmir. It provides tourists an opportunity to appreciate the ancient culture and heritage of Kashmir. Krimchi lies on the north-western side of
Udhampur, on the way to
Mantalai.
Main attraction of the village is the three ancient temples, which stand in a row facing east. Perhaps, these temples are the oldest temples in the state, one is in ruins. The architecture and exquisite carvings of the temples reflect the Greek (Hellenic) influence.
A small stream flows below the temple complex. The reflection of the temple complex in its clear waters provides a sparkling sight. Pancheri, a picturesque hill resort, is at a short distance from Krimchi.
Latti, Mantalai, Naka Seoj Dhar and Sansar constitute interesting excursions outside the village.
Regular bus service connects the village with Srinagar, Jammu and Udhampur. The nearest railhead is Jammu Tawi Railway Station and the airport is Jammu Airport.
