Hill Myna (Gracula religiosa) is the common talking Myna of the pet trade. It is also known as Indian Hill Myna.
It is a noisy bird. The bird has a black, green and violet shimmering plumage. The orange colored bill and the yellow skin areas beneath and behind its eyes are common. Nest is constructed near human habitations. It often builds a loose nest of twigs, leaves, paper, and trash in a cavity or crevice. The bird feeds on fruits and berries, seeds, insects and lizards. The Hill Myna is omnivorous.
