Daulat Beg Oldi is a valley located in
Ladakh of
Jammu and Kashmir. It is a campsite situated at an altitude of 16800 ft.
The landscape of this valley is distinguished by sedimentary rocks, whose layers exhibit distinct folds due to geological pressure. The land clearly specifies that Himalayas have come out of the deep sea in the ages called "Tythes geocyncline".
As said by history, Daulat Beg Oldi is the place where Daulat Beg died, a rich Yarkandi nobleman, who perished after the rigours of the descent from the Karakoram Pass.
