Lying at a height of about 13,848 ft above sea level, Darbuk is a small settlement in
Leh District of
Jammu and Kashmir. It is bounded by
Zingral in the west, Shyok in the north,
Durgu in the east and
Tangtse in the south. The
Indus River flows near this place. It is an ideal stopover for trekkers who are on their way to the Great
Himalayas.
Darbuk can be approached from Leh, which lies to the west of this village.
