Shirigul Temple is one of the oldest temples of Shirigul and is situated on the Churdhar Peak in
Shimla District,
Himachal Pradesh.
The presiding deity here is Lord Shiva. Facing east, this square shaped temple is a single storeyed building and is nine ft high. The roof consists of a gable and the topmost beam is decorated with brass vessels fixed to it by pegs. The temple has only one door, which is carved with figures.
A dome shaped small temple is found within the Shirigul Temple. A shivling, which is six inches high and four inches in circumference, is kept inside this small temple. The shivling without clothes or ornaments is placed in a vessel of water. Both the ling and the vessel are made of stone.
The temple is a highly revered one among the people of Shimla.
