The Mall, with many shops, restaurants and gothic buildings, is the hub of
Shimla. It houses the Himachal Emporium, which has a collection of local handicrafts and pottery dogs. The Tibetan Refugee Handloom Shop deals in carpets, clothes and other Tibetan crafts. The post office and the tourist office are located here.
Gaiety Theater, an old style British theater is also housed here.
