Kali-Bari Temple

Placed atop the wooded Jaghu Hills, Kali-Bari is a 150 year old temple in Shimla. This is a beautiful vantage point which offers a spectacular view of the town below. Chandi, Shyamala and Kali are the main deities. It is believed that Shimla got its name from Goddess Shyamala, an incarnation of Goddess Kali. Kali-Bari is frequented by a substantial number of devotees.

The nearest railway station is Kalka, from where Shimla is a 90 km journey.
