Rekong Peo, the administrative headquarters of
Kinnaur District, is a charming town situated in the deeper reaches of the
Himalayas, in
Himachal Pradesh. Located at an altitude of 2670 m above sea level, this place offers panoramic views of Kinnaur Kailash Range – the abode of
Lord Shiva. Rekong Peo is 260 km north-east of
Shimla.
