Baijnath

Baijnath is a charming town and a famous point of pilgrimage in Kangra District, in Himachal Pradesh. It is located 46 km south-east of Dharamsala.

Major point of attraction here is the ancient Baidyanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Tashijong Gompa is another spot worth visiting in the vicinity (5 km).

Nearest airport is Gaggal Dharamsala Airport. Baijnath Mandir Railway Station and Baijnathpaprola Railway Station serve the town. National Highway 20 passes through Baijnath.
