Khaydayat is a popular dance form of
Himachal Pradesh.
Firstly, the dancers move in a circle with sword in one hand and a scabbard in the other. In course of performance, the participants adeptly play with the sword, and it is the key factor than the musical and rhythmic features.
When the musicians play in a faster beat, the dancers stop playing and stand quietly. This dance is reminiscent of the feudal past.
