Dharmsal lies in the northern end of Una District, on the Una-Kangra border. It is bounded by Daulatpur (10 km west), Dado Siba (12 km north) and Amb (18 km south).
Bharwain, an ideal base for trekkers and nature lovers, is around 5 km east. Chintpurni Devi Temple is the nearest major shrine.
