Viveka Chudamani (crest jewel of discrimination), an ancient text, was written by
Adi Shankaracharya. It is written in the form of questions and answers. Viveka Chudamani teaches
non dualism, and shows the path to God through knowledge. The basic teaching given by Shankaracharya in Viveka Chudamani is that God alone is the omnipresent reality. He also describes the transformation of the universe that takes place in the mind of the realized saint.
