Dhauladhar Mountain Ranges

Dhauladhar Mountain Ranges lie in Himachal Pradesh, separating Kullu District and Mandi District at one end and Chamba District and Kangra District at the other. Dhauladhar, literally meaning 'white peak,' with its snow-capped tea gardens, is an ideal destination for trekkers. The hills are viewed like waves on the surface of the sea from the top of Dhauladhar. In Kangra valley, the mountain peak is at an altitude of about 4800 m from sea level. The mountain sides, after a certain height, house many villages, inhabited by the Gaddis, who rear and trade in sheep.
