Saho

Saho, 20 km from Chamba, is a scenic village situated on the right bank of the Sal River. Its location on the high plateau makes it one of the beautiful and most popular tourist spots.

The prime attraction is a temple dedicated to Lord Chandrashekar. The moon-crowned images of Lord Shiva can be found here. A Nandi bull detailed with fine carving faces the temple. Another highlight of Saho is the spring water, which is believed to have therapeutic properties.

Saho’s fields are filled with wheat crop during summer, and in August/September, the fields are flourished with paddy crop. Accommodation facilities are available in the forest rest house nearby.
