The district of Rewari in
Haryana covers an area of 1,582 sq km with
Rewari as its headquarters. The name Rewari has a history back to the
Mahabharata. A city named ‘Rewa wadi’ was founded by king Rewat, which later changed to Rewari. The land of Rewari is also called ‘veer-bhumi’.
