Panchkula, the seat of administration of
Panchkula District, is a charming town situated at the foothills of the Shivaliks, in
Haryana. It is a major industrial hub and agricultural market in the district. Panchkula is 5 km east of
Chandigarh.
This beautifully laid out town also serve as an ideal base for those venturing to the newly developed tourist spots like Morni hills and the Pinjore complex. Other places worth visiting are Sri Mata Mansa Devi temple, Chandi Mandir,
Yadavindra Gardens at Pinjore and the Urban Estate.
Nearest airport and railway station are at Chandigarh. Regular buses are available to Chandigarh,
Ambala,Shimla, Patiala, Kalka and Karnal. National Highway 73 passes through Panchkula.
