Durga.
The most important section of Markandeya Purana is 'Devimahatmya' which is popularly known as 'Durgasaptasati'. This book illustrates several stories regarding Lord Indra, Surya and Agni. Devotees usually read this shortest form of Purana with great honor during the Navaratri Festival.
