Agroha Mound is an archeological site located at
Agroha in
Hissar District of
Haryana. It goes back to 3rd century BC. Harappan coins were discovered along with stone sculptures, terracotta seals, iron and copper implements and shells.
Five cultural periods ranging from 4th century to 14th century have been identified in the recent excavations. Existence of two ancient shrines namely a Buddhist stupa and a Hindu temple were also revealed.
Agroha Mound now has the Agroha Temple Complex on one side and the Sheela Mata Temple on the other. The Agroha Medical College is nearby.
The nearest railway junction is at Adampur. The bus station is at Agroha.
