Shri Swaminarayan Temple




Shri Swaminarayan Temple is a highly revered shrine situated at Vadtal, in Anand District of Gujarat. It is a lotus shaped shrine with nine domes in the inner temple. The temple enshrines the images of Lord Lakshminarayan, Lord Ranchhodji, Lord Dharmdev-Bhaktimata, Lord Vasudevji and Lord Radhakrishna Harikrishna Maharaj.

The divine form of Dakshinavart Shankh (southern-sea conch) and Shaligrama (icon of Lord Vishnu) are installed in the south of the middle temple. In the inner dome of the temple there is an idol of Lord Vishnu resting on the majestic seat of Shesh Nag (heavenly snake). Stone-idols of the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu are also installed here.

Shri Swaminarayan Temple is the highest seat of the Acharya and preceptor of Lord Lakshminarayandev Desh.
