Upleta is a town located about 19 km from
Dhoraji, in
Rajkot District of
Gujarat. This fortified town is located on the banks of Moj River. The town, with its high fort wall with huge bastions, gates and small ghats and the skyline of the buildings, together creates a picturesque composition. Major point of attraction here is a mosque and a Jain temple. The Darbargadh (now a police station), is enclosed within a fortified campus.
Upleta Railway Station is a major railhead of the Western Railways in Gujarat. National Highway 8B passes through Upleta. By road, the town is well connected with Kutiyana, Dhoraji, Jetpur, Gondal, Saradiya, Manavadar and Vanthli.
