Mausoleum of Mirjan Shami is situated besides the tomb of Khudawand Khan, in
Surat,
Gujarat. Mirjan Shami, a converted Muslim, was an army chief and was killed in the year 1559-60 by Garsia, the governor of Daman. Constructed in Indo-Iranian style, the Mausoleum features exquisite carvings on its pillars which reflect a unique combination of Hindu and Jain sculptures.
